Our History

At the beginning of the ’900 it was a real malga that was used as shelter by shepherds and also by the woodmen which worked on the territory. It was the typical “casera” (typical alpine building used for housing or for stabling) where was performed the workmanship of the milk and where cows were brought to pasture in the summer period. The name of the Malga derives from the same place in which it has been built: Baessa.

In the middle of ’70 the Malga was purchased by Enrietta and Fiore Ropelato who restructured it to do a restaurant.
The cafe-restaurant Malga Baessa opened in the 1977.

In 1993 the restaurant is submitted to Franco who manages successfully the restaurant with his wife Mariarosa.
